I didn't know how to make a good-looking cover page or um a realistic content page. And I didn't know how to write a feature story that just - just flowed and and really captivated an audience. um but, with time um I was able to obtain new knowledge and I used blogger.com to um help me plan out what I wanted to do, what I wanted my magazine to look like. Um, I also would um blog about the things that I learned um so that I could incorporate it into my magazine. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AGuQrJ1ZlVJRiLJFz4ref2iP-EKNLRsu/view?usp=drivesdk Transcript: How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?  Right, so I feel as though when it comes to books or magazines or anything that an audience is reading, um I feel like the number one rule is that if you really want to engage with your audience, you need a topic that really resonates with a lot of people. And like I've said before, self-acceptance, self-love, you know struggling with self is just really common today, unfortunately. Um but that in itself has the capability of attracting an audience and making them feel like they're there. Um and the reason being is because they too feel the same way. They've felt down about themselves, they felt like they weren't good enough, they've compared themselves and that in itself um, yeah they just feel like, you know they can engage with us, we can engage with them with our words.

So when I first started my um my product, I did do some research on what made a magazine and what were the necessary conventions I needed to use, um and I did find that I had to include a masthead, taglines, cover lines, um as well as have a cover model, color schemes and a barcode. Um, I did input these things into my magazine because I did want to make it look as realistic as possible. As for the social issues that were included um, my whole magazine is based off self-acceptance and I talked a lot about um the hardships that people have faced and what it took for them to finally accept and love themselves for who they were. Um, I think this is a really big issue today because you will meet a lot of teenagers who are not happy with themselves, um whether that be their physical vessel or the

                                                                                              

  Aiden & Ashley uncover their path towards self-love and self-acceptance. Openly discussing their hardships, realizations, and overall journeys with self.      Self-love and self-acceptance look completely and utterly different to each and every person you encounter. "We all struggle with accepting or loving some part of ourselves", Ashley says. For Ashley, it was always the inability of accepting and embracing the physical vessel she had been brought into this world with. "I always hated social media and the Ideas it enabled into my mind as a 10-year-old." The unrealistic ways in which media portrays women tremendously affected the way Ashley started perceiving herself. She thought that in order to fit society's definition of "pretty", she must have had to carry each trait she noticed the women on TV had, a tiny waist, hairless bodies, no stretch marks, or pimples, and so on.   Falling In love with you     It is no surprise that people have begun to idealize unrealistic beauty standards. Slowly wanting to conform into what majority deem as perfect. With social media becoming increasingly popular, most of what we see is altered in some way. We are in fact spreading the very ideas that make us miserable in our own bodies. Dissatisfaction in self does not solely depend on our physical being. This unfulfillment can be directed towards our mind, our body, or our soul. You may feel as though your thoughts or ideas are of unimportance; useless. You see your body as unattractive, “not good enough”, repugnant. You see your soul or the energy you radiate as dreadful. What people fail to recognize, is that these very things are interconnected. See your internal reality is projected through your external reality. For instance, if you constantly tell yourself you are unworthy of love or happiness, you will surely attract people who reflect your feelings through negati
